Introduction
Postcards Around the World is a group for those of us who like to push the envelope (pardon the pun) and showcase our skills – or learn new ones to make friends around the world. Postcards are sent monthly and members can pick and choose which months they want to do. Sometimes there is a theme, sometimes not. All types of needlework are welcome – patchwork, quilting, embroidery by hand or machine, cross-stitch etc.Postcards should be 4″ x 6″ in size and made completely of fabric. No cardstock to be used.
The postcards can be sent ‘naked’ through the post – just make sure that your stamps are well stuck on. Or you can opt to send in a cellophane envelope or a normal envelope – this is recommended when there are beads, buttons or hand embroidery that may get snagged or damaged in the postal system.
